"Philosophy of the World"

what came out of new hampshire in the late sixties? certainly a precious gem called Philosophy of the World, let the lyrics convince you: you can never please anybody in this world. my equilibrium feels a bit off when i listen to the shaggs, a good kind of off-balance, just like the songs on this record. the guitar melodies go along with the vocal melodies, and the drums are off somewhere staring out the window but it's perfect that way. "my pal foot foot" kicks off all funky and mildly shakes it up, makes you want to do a stoned zombie waltz or something. oh foot foot i wish i could find you / i looked here / i looked there / i looked everywhere / foot foot why won't you answer me? the precious desperation of a lost cat luv song. their father suggested they start making music when his psychic mom had a vision of their musical careers. they disbanded shortly after his death in nineteen seventy-five.
